Various Christmas Photos

Here are a bunch of pictures from our various Christmas celebrations! We started celebrating with Kelly's extended family (Medendorp side) about a week early. We then spent Christmas Eve Eve with the Clarks celebrating and Christmas Day with the Peuler side. We basically had Christmas Eve all to ourselves to relax and catch up between parties. That was nice for the kids to play in the snow, relax and even get a good nap in. We did go to Christmas Eve service with Jon's family and our friends Steve and Shannon joined us as well! That was a fun surprise!

4 of us Pregnant!

All 4 of us are pregnant! There are 5 of us grandkids on my mom's side and 4 of the 5 are all pregnant. What's even crazier is we are due February, March, April, and May. Almost exactly 3 weeks apart! Crazy but fun! Lots of new little ones on our side this spring!

Madison's Preschool Christmas Party

I got the priviledge of organizing Madi's Preschool Party this year. They asked 2 moms to figure out what games and craft we were doing and organize all the food for the party. Pretty simple...so I said yes! It was fun. We used glitter paint to decorate ornaments and played stick the nose on the reindeer. Sydney and Isaac got to join us as well and had fun playing in the room! Isaac even made his own ornament. Madi actually got her nose the closest on the reindeer of everyone...and no I never had her practice....She hit it right exactly where it should go. Pretty cool!

A visit from Santa - according to Madi this was not the real one because "he wasn't wearing glasses".

Kelly's baby belly!

Warning!!
The following pictures of Kelly's belly...Angie came over to take some shots of me pregnant. The kids have been so excited about the baby we thought it'd be fun to take some photos of me pregnant for them to remember. Madi is always grabbing onto my belly whenever she can and is kissing it all the time. It's just so sweet!

Isaac trying to figure it out.

Madi Singing at Church Video

Here is a clip from when Madi sang at Church. She really got into doing all the motions.

Madi Singing at Church

These are a few pictures from Madi singing her Christmas songs at Church. She was so excited to do this!

Sydney came to watch...she stayed awake for the singing but I think the sermon finally put her to sleep!

Visit with Santa

We heard Santa was going to be at Horrocks so we took a trip over there to get a quick picture. The kids also got to enjoy some face painting and free ice cream! They also had reindeer there for you to see. Pretty nice deal if you ask me. Everything was free and the lines were very short. We'll have to remember this for next year!

Isaac got a reindeer on his hand.

Madi got a butterfly on her cheek.

Hangin with the neighbors

We got together with some of our neighbors for a game night. The kids had a blast hanging out together. It took a little bit to get all the kids down but once they did it was very nice to just relax and play some games. We did have to take some time to do the girls hair in curlers....Madi had her church program the next morning so we needed to do the curler thing. Too bad the girls didn't do so hot at pictionary....but everyone did learn how to play speed uno! We're all addicted now!!

Our Family Christmas Card!

This is our Christmas Card! Hopefully I'll have these in the mail by Monday! Thought I'd share! I had Jon place the "order"! He told me his wish list for a card and I went to work! Much easier than letting me decide...I'd be there forever!

Small Group Christmas

Last night we gathered at the De Vrie's home to celebrate with our Small Group! The kids had a great time playing with one another....We did have each of the kids exchange gifts. When Madi opened hers she exclaimed "Mom, we really needed this!" It was a crown of course! A necessity in her world. She did then wear it all day today!

Family Christmas Day!

Every year Jonathan and I take the kids to cut down our own Christmas Tree! Usually Christmas Day and Christmas Eve are busy days with family and we wanted to have a day that was just ours and start some family traditions of our own! So we decided to take the first Saturday in Decemeber as our Christmas with the kids. We'll still open all their gifts early Christmas morning before we take off somewhere but this gets to be a fun family day!

We started the morning off with Cinnamon Rolls....you'll see a trend here...we don't "make" much food! :) AFter breakfast we took off for Badger Tree Farm near Martin/Allegan. There were took a wagon ride pulled by horses out to cut our tree!

Here we are on the wagon...all bundled up!

We have our tree!

Next, lunch at McDonalds. The kids told us in the car they didn't need anything to eat since they just had some popcorn at the tree farm...all they needed was to play on the toys! So we agreed. Eventually they came over hungry and we got them some chicken!

Next we headed home and let the kids watch some movies to unwind a little while we got the tree up and lights on it. Soon it was time for them to help with the ornaments. This was hilarious because every time Isaac reached for an ornament he said "Daddy, this one needs a hooker!". What added to the fun was the next day at Grandma Clark's Isaac told Grandma, "Grandma, your hookers are different than our hookers!" We had to chuckle! After all the ornaments were on Isaac got to put the Angel on the tree! Madison had her turn last year...but of course she doesn't remember.....

After the tree was up we took some time to read the Christmas story as we put our manger out. The kids are really starting to remember parts of the story and can actually answer our questions about it pretty good. This is fun for us to see how much more they pick up year to year!

Soon we ordered and at pizza. The kids flew through this part because they knew the presents were next! So we gave them each their one present we had picked out for today. A fun memory was Isaac this morning....he woke up first (as usual) and headed downstairs to find a show to watch...Jonathan and I heard him and watched him as he got to the living room. He stopped dead cold in his tracks as soon as he saw a present. He stood there for about 5 mins looking at trying to decide what to do. He did finally decide to go turn on the TV. We were both amazed at his restraint! So they had seen these very early in the day and waited patiently till after dinner.

You might notice what Madi is holding....we decided to mix up the toys and have Madi open Isaac's toy and Isaac open hers.....she couldn't figure out why we'd get her a Batman figurine....then she saw Isaac open a Barbie and was really not getting it....then she realized we were "fooling her" and they switched. We also got them some special Christmas Jammie's!

So they put there Jammies on but were not in the mood for anymore pictures...they found it hilarious to stick out there bums at me!

Eventually they smiled for some nicer photos!

Here we are making Christmas Cookie Cut-Outs!

And finally here is the house all decorated from the outside...not the best picture...but you all saw the nice weather we were having....I didn't want to be outside too long!!
