Conversations from the backseat

So last night we were driving home and heard the following conversation

Madi: "Isaac who are you going to marry?

Isaac: "Brittyn!"

Madi: " You can't marry Brittyn, Jeffrey already gave her a ring. Maybe you should pick someone smaller."

Isaac: "Oh...I know. Elise! She's smaller so she won't be taken yet."

Love must be in the air...Jon and I had all we could do not to laugh out loud!

Philly!

So we took off to Philadelphia for 4 days...it was such a nice break from life! We can't thank the Grand Parents enough for all they did watching the kids. It was so good to just get away the 2 of us again for a bit! Very relaxing! Jon had a conference out that way so that is why we chose Philadelphia. Overall I wasn't thrilled with the city...felt on edge most of the time..just a different city....but it was so nice just sleeping in, working out and reading my books. Lots of me time!

So we decided to copy that commercial where the dad takes his daughters toy along and took a bunch of pictures with them in it...We posted them for the kids each day and they had fun with it.

Plus it was nice because it made me feel like they weren't as far away....

the view from our hotel...we were high up..29th floor.

This is inside the Kimmel Arts Center...very cool building.

It had a roof top Garden....I stay way away from the edge...

Admiring the Architecture :)

I spy two toys! Hard Rock Cafe for dinner.

Science Fair & Arts & Crafts

Well Madi decided to submit a craft project for the fair at their school. After giving her a bunch of options she chose to make a fleece poncho...she kept telling me she wanted to do a sewing project and I was afraid I'd have to send her to one of her Grandma's for that! But we found a nice "no sew", sewing project instead! She was all excited.

Practiced tying...until it got too small...and then we started that one over!

Here she is at school....not in the mood for pictures anymore....obviously!

Time outside

Finally, some warmer weather...well kinda! Here are few pictures from the first night we spent outside since being cooped up all winter!

My boys!

Fun with Austin

So what does an 18 year old do with his cousin...put him up high....I think the boys had fun!

Elliot's favorite places

So elliot has develope a new "adventurous" spirit! He has had a few bumps and bruises...a couple of slices in his tongue (incase you didn't know it...the tongue bleeds a lot when a tooth punctures it!), he loves to climb...and with that comes more bumps...this one in particular reminded me of one Isaac had around the same age!

Here was Elliot's bump.
Isaac's bump! Who could be this happy after getting that!

Elliot loves to push toys up to the couch to get up....so those toys are now downstairs!

He loves to just sit on this step, usually with his juice!
He loves to move the trash and sit under this counter..his little hideway.
but most of all he just smiles!!!

Isaac's Party

Okay..its been forever since I have blogged anything..I'm a little behind! So be prepared for a "few" posts!

So for Isaac's 4th Birthday he asked for a Transformer Birthday Party! He was so excited to have his friends over! It was a classic "all boy" party...after everyone sang Happy Birthday, one boy farted and another started picking his nose! Classic...we got a good laugh out of that one! Here are some pictures from the party!

He loved answering the door in his mask!

The boys!

We hid some transformer cards I made and they had to find them...

We then had each boy cover their eyes and try to put a sticker on the Transformer poster...Isaac kept telling Ethan, "Now, no peeking Ethan!" He was checking to make sure Ethan couldn't see!

Very excited for all his gifts...especially the underwear!

What party is not complete without Sword fighting!

Hungry boys!

Boy-friends!

Hey there!
My friend put this post on her blog today…I thought it was so funny! Madi is clueless that these boys are even “chasing” her! But it’s fun! The boy next door has a plan…and the other boy is more the romantic type (prince who saves his princess)! Check out what they wrote! Thought it was just fun to share! Young romance! How does it all start so early!
