The kids thought it would be fun to "make" grandma a birthday cake! I love the creativity!

First Days of School

The first day of school! The kids were so excited!

Elliot wanted to do everything they did....he even grabbed his own back pack and got himself ready...

He was happy until Madi got on the bus and he couldn't join her :(

On Isaac's first day we took him to meet his teacher and get him acquainted with the new school...

We picked up Grandma afterwards and celebrated with lunch at Steak N Shake!

Two days later he got to ride the bus for the first time!

Some days I think we give my dad a heart attack....No one got hurt this time...but it cracks me up to watch HIM watch the kids!

Labor Day weekend we headed with the Clark side to Riverside park. The kids just love being outside. We enjoyed some yummy ice cream afterwards too!

Yard Fest!

So...we had our annual yard fest with my cousins! It was a blast...of course! We played many silly games, ate some yummy mexican and my sister even made mexican fried ice cream! I didn't take many pictures...I guess I was having too much fun! Here are a couple!

Mud Run

Here we are at KCC's first annual mud run! The kids thought this was pretty cool. They were trying to convince Dad to run with them next year....we'll have to see on that one! :)

Another last hoo-rah before school started was the zoo! We met some friends at the zoo and had a blast!

Day Hike

Before the kids headed back to school we took them out for a hike over by Gun Lake. They loved it! They brought little brown bags to put their "treasures" in!

Garden

Here we are in Late August...the kids had this idea to start a garden. I was actually very skeptical that anything would grow but within 1 week they had lots of sprouts! They were so excited to see what they had grown! It was fun watching them come check on it every day and watering it. They showed everyone that came over!

Block Party 2010

This was our third annual block party! I think this one was the best yet! It was so much fun! I love that so many neighbors came out to join us! We had over 120 neighbors attend! Isn't that awesome!

We started the night with the bike parade. The kids had fun coming up with how to decorate the bikes! Here is Madi & Andrew!

Isaac is Darth Vader and Elliot is to the left of Isaac with Spidey on the front of his bike. Spiderman stayed on his bike for the rest of the summer! He loved it!

Next was the fire truck. We tried to line up all 60+ kids....here are most of them!

Jets Pizza! Yum! This was super easy....and we had Culvers Custard Cart for dessert!

We ended the night with a band! One of the neighbors has a band and they agreed to play for us! That was really cool~ Overall it was a ton of fun! Can't wait till next year!
