Soccer 2009

The kids asked to play soccer...so we signed them up with the Y! Isaac was thrilled that he didn't have to wait till he was 5 and that they had a 4 year old league just for him! He loved every week...Madi was a different story. As much as she wanted to play before it started it all changed when she realized it was coed and there were boys coaching! The first week it took us a half an hour to just get her to get on the field and stop crying. So it was a challenge each week with some tears but when she did go out there and actually just play...she had fun! Hopefully this guy thing is just a phase. She's starting to do it in many areas of her life...so we're just taking it one step at a time.

Here is a video of Isaac scoring! One week after the game we asked Isaac how many goals he had and he looked at you all wide-eyed and said 85! Guess those tall tales start early! He actually had 5 that week...he really loved just taking the ball in for a score!

this one is of Elliot kicking the ball with Papa Clark! He loved to just get that ball and kick it! In the background you can see Madi just practicing on her own. As soon as the game was done she'd just kick the ball with her dad or papa the whole time...she was all smiles then and just loved that part of it. Most of the time she'd practice whatever skill they taught her that day in her game...so we'll see! :)
